Researcher: Babu Rahman
The main objective of the research is to find out the
lost heritage of the NAGARCHI, a community who traditionally
plays musical instruments in the eastern district of
Brahmanbaria in Bangladesh. The researcher will try
to search for the missing musical trends of the community
and try to popularize their profession by documenting
their records. The findings of this research will be
a guideline for their new generation. After publishing
this report it will be helpful for the media, national
museum, Bangladesh fine arts academy to uphold the voice
of this community. The research methodology shall be
participatory in nature.
