To Study and Prepare an Investigative Report on the Condition of the Low Cost Restaurant in a Participatory Basis

The main objective of this research is to study and analyze the problems of the low cost restaurants and canteen workers of Dhaka city through enabling their participation. The researcher will prepare an investigative report on the baseline knowledge generated from the group. The researcher randomly will select 500 low cost canteens and restaurants workers. The researcher will collect information about the percentage of child labor, condition of women workers, job and salary conditions, working hours, working environment, violations of labor laws etc. The methodology followed shall be participatory meetings/ workshops, case study and baseline survey. The duration of the project is six months. This research falls under capacity building. The researcher is a student of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). The expected outcome of the research is to get an overall scenario of the group. Future research ideas might come out after this investigative report is being complete.
