Participatory Action Research has been one of the prime
research methodologies, which RIB has tried to advocate
especially in areas where community research is being
encouraged. It has become necessary therefore to train
a corps of animators at the community level to help
extend this methodology in different areas. The training
of these animators will enable communities who are poor,
deprived or marginalized to engage in self-research
and awareness techniques, which could help them show
a way out of the vicious circle of poverty. This programme
will cover fifteen Unions in the northernmost districts
of Bangladesh.
